ID Card Terms and Conditions

  • You may possess only one Virginia Tech ID card.
  • A card must be replaced if the individual's appearance has worn away or changed so that identification is unreasonably difficult.
  • You must be prepared to show your ID card to university officials upon request.
  • The use of the ID card by any person other than the person to whom it was issued, under false pretenses, including changing or attempting to change the validation, is a violation of University Policy. The university reserves the right to confiscate any ID card.
  • Employees and/or affiliate employees of the university are required to turn in their ID card upon separation.
  • If you lose your ID, please contact the Hokie Passport Office immediately so that your ID can be protected. There will be a cost for replacement ID cards unless a police report was filed.
  • The university assumes no responsibility for unauthorized purchases from your account prior to your notifying the proper authorities that your card is lost or stolen.
  • We reserve the right to modify or change these terms and conditions.
  • You may be required to obtain a replacement ID if your ID has been damaged or worn.
