Online Deposit Information Guide


Some useful information:

  • While in the process of making a deposit, you might see the word "payment" instead of "deposit". For our purposes, their meaning is the same.
  • There is a $25.00 minimum and a $1000.00 maximum on each deposit.
  • We accept E-CHECKS, VISA and MASTERCARD.
  • Deposits are NOT real time. Deposits will be applied to your account during the next business day.
  • As of June 1st, 2007, the Hokie Passport Office no longer accepts credit card deposits over the phone or at the cashier windows.
  • Cookies MUST be enabled in your web browser. Otherwise, you will encounter session errors.
  • Review your deposit before selecting the "Confirm" button. All online deposits are final once the confirmation number has been generated by the system.



Users Affiliated with the University (Students, Faculty and Staff)
If you are affiliated with the university, all online deposits are conducted through MyVT. To make a deposit, first go to MyVT. Once logged in, click on the "Personal Info" link near the top of the screen. The Hokie Passport Channel, with your account balances, should be displayed on the right. You will also see a "Make Deposit" link. Click on it to begin your deposit. For step by step instructions for making a deposit, follow the link below.

Making an online deposit (as a Student/Faculty/Staff/Wage)

You can authorize someone else to make payments on your behalf. You may do so by logging on at MyVT and follow the "Make Deposit" link after going to the "Personal Info" area. Once in the "Online Deposits" area you will see the "Authorize Payers" link on the left. Authorized Depositors (Parents, Guardians, Spouses etc.)
If you have been authorized by your student or other person affiliated with the university to make deposits into their account, you will begin by logging into the system directly at https://quikpayasp.com/vt/hokiepassport/authorized.do.
